Clean the mold lines and burrs, fill gaps with putty and pin the main parts.


Glue the parts that are going to be painted together (legs, chest, bomb and shoulder) and keep the rest separated (arms, head and base).

Heavy drybrush in all the surface with a 1:1 mix of Heavy Siena and Evil Sunz Scarlett


Citadel Evil Sunz Scarlet

Soft drybrush over all the surface with Trash Metal.


Scale Color Thrash Metal

Using a diluted 1:1 mix of Heavy Siena and Ivory, apply 2-3 layers to the metal elements and to the frontal part of the base. Paint the eagle with a dense base of Leather Brown.


Vallejo Model Color Ivory

Vallejo Colors Leather Brown

Using a diluted 1:2 mix of Heavy Siena and Ivory, highlight the metal elements. Also, outline the edges of the metal elements and hex nuts with Ivory.


Using a diluted 1:9 mix of Heavy Siena and Ivory, highlight the metal elements. Outline again the edges of the metal elements and hex nuts with Ivory.


Apply 2-3 glazes with Bright Orange to the metal elements, in the opposite areas where we highlighted before.


Vallejo Model Colors Bright Orange

Cover the eagle with a couple of layers of Sol Yellow. Outline the metal edge closer to the eagle with the same mix.


Scalecolor Sol Yellow

First highlight in the eagle with a 1:1 mix of Sol Yellow and Ivory. Outline part of the metal edge closer to the eagle with the same mix.


Second and final highlight in the eagle with a 1:3 mix of Sol Yellow and Ivory. Outline part of the metal edge closer to the eagle with the same mix.


Apply a general wash with a 1:1 mix of Evil Sunz Scarlett and Bright Orange.


Apply 2-3 glazes with Turquoise to recesses of the metal elements.


Vallejo Game Color Turquoise

Black priming with Abaddon Black and pre-light coat of soft Ivory drybrush.


Base coat to all the clothes, with a 3:2 mix of Heavy Siena and Oxford Blue. I also cover other little surfaces like strips and belt.


Vallejo Model Color Oxford Blue

1st highlight with a 1:1 mix of Heavy Siena and Leather Brown, covering lot of total surface. I apply 2 layers of the mix.


2nd highlight with Leather Brown. I again apply 2 layers.


3rd highlight with a 2:1 mix of Leather Brown and Sunny Skin. I start some texture by a carefully stippling i the bigger areas.


Vallejo Model Color Sunny Skintone

4th highlight with a 1:1 mix of Leather Brown and Sunny Skin.


5th highlight with a 2:1 mix of Sunny Skin and Ivory. I concentrate the work on the edges of the folds.


General wash with a diluted 2:3 mix of Heavy Siena and Oxford Blue. This step gives extra deep to the shadows and smooths all the blending.


Glazes with Evil Sunz Scarlett well diluted, in all the recesses.


Final lights and outlining with a 1:1 mix of Sunny Skin and Ivory.


General wash with very diluted Inktense Chesnut ink, to recover a general leather tone.

1st highlights with a 1:1 mix of Bright Orange and Yellow, applied by stippling in the shoulder pad and by blending in the frontal plate.


Citadel Yriel Yellow

2nd highlights with a 1:4 mix of Bright Orange and Yellow, applied by stippling in the shoulder pad and by blending in the frontal plate.


3rd highlights with a 2:1 mix of Yellow and Ivory.


Final highlights 1:2 mix of Yellow and Ivory.


Shadows with several glazes with a highly diluted 1:1 mix of Evil Sunz Scarlett and Fuchsia.


Scale Color Fuchsia

General wash with Caliban Green highly diluted, to give extra subtle shadows and color contrast.

Final outlining and details with a 1:9 mix of Yellow and Ivory.


Base coat with a not very dense 3:2 mix of Heavy Siena and Abaddon Black.


1st highlights with a 2:1 mix of Heavy Siena and Dark Flesh, applied by almost all the backpack surface.

2nd highlights with a 1:1 mix of Heavy Siena and Dark Flesh.


3rd highlights with a 1:2 mix of Heavy Siena and Dark Flesh.


Final highlights with a 1:1 mix of Dark Flesh and Ivory, made by a carefully and fine stippling, to create a soft texture.


General wash with Caliban Green highly diluted, to give color contrast to the shadows.


Final outlining and maximum light points with a 1:9 mix of Dark Flesh and Ivory.


Base tone to the minor elements of the backpack (glyph and patch).


1st highlights with a 2:1 mix of Evil Sunz Scarlett and Sunny Skin.


2nd highlights with a 1:1 mix of Evil Sunz Scarlett and Sunny Skin.


Final outlining and lights with Sunny Skin.


Base coat to all the strips and belts with Caliban Green


1st highlights with a 2:1 mix of Caliban Green and Ivory. Give 2-3 thin coats.


2nd highlights with a 1:1 mix of Caliban Green and Ivory. Give 2-3 thin coats.


3rd highlights with a 1:2 mix of Caliban Green and Ivory. Also outline the main edges and details.


Shadows with several glazes with Heavy Siena, well diluted.


Base coat to all the minor metallic elements with a 2:1 mix of Turquoise and Abaddon Black.


1st highlights with a 2:1 mix of Turquoise and Ivory, applied by almost all the surface. Give 2-3 thin coats.


2nd highlights with a 4:1 mix of Ivory and Turquoise. Give 2-3 thin coats and outline the main edges and details.


Shadows with several glazes with Heavy Siena, diluted.


Shadows with several glazes with Evil Sunz Scarlett, well diluted.


Final outlining and details with dense Ivory.


General wash with Smokey Ink, a bit diluted.

Base coat with Bright Orange, well covering all the surfaces but the recesses.


1st highlights with a 2:1 mix of Bright Orange and Sunny Skin.


2nd highlights with a 1:1 mix of Bright Orange and Sunny Skin.


3rd highlights with a 2:3 mix of Bright Orange and Ivory, including the outlining of edges and rivets.


General wash with Phoenix Orange, diluted at 50%.


GSW Intensity Ink Phoenix Orange

Shadows applied by 2-3 thin glazes with Park Green Flat, highly diluted.

Final highlights and outlining with a 1:1 mix of Sunny Skin and Ivory.


Base coat with Caliban Green diluted, over the pre-light coat.


1st highlights with a 1:1 mix of Caliban Green and Elysian Green. For all the highlights steps, always apply 2-3 coats of every mix.


Citadel Elysan Green

2nd highlights with a 1:2 mix of Caliban Green and Elysian Green.


3rd highlights with a 2:1 mix of Elysian Green and Yellow.


4th highlights with a 40/60 mix of Elysian Green and Yellow.


Final (but important and expense) highlights with a 70/30 mix of Elysian Green and Ivory.


Shadows with several glazes with a highly diluted 1:1 mix of Bright Orange and Fuchsia.


Final highlights (softer this time) with a 1:1 mix of Elysian Green and Ivory, diluted at 50%.


Final result for the skin with strips and wristband painted as described in the clothes step.


Base coat the face with Caliban Green diluted, over the pre-light coat. Base coat the leather helmet with Heavy Siena, over the pre-light coat.


1st highlights with a 1:1 mix of Caliban Green and Elysian Green on the face. 1st highlight with a 1:1 mix of Heavy Siena and Leather Brown, covering lot of total surface on the leather helmet. I apply several thin layers.


2nd highlights with a20/80 mix of Caliban Green and Elysian Green on the face. 2nd highlight with a 70/30 mix of Leather Brown and Sunny Skin on the leather helmet.


3rd highlights with a 2:3 mix of Elysian Green and Yriel Yellow on the face. 3rd highlight with a 1:1 mix of Leather Brown and Ivory on the Leather Helmet. Base coat the teeth with a dense 4:1 mix of Ivory and Heavy Siena.


Final highlights on the face with several coats of a 1:1 mix of Elysian Green and Ivory, diluted at 50%. I soften the whole cap with 2-3 thin washes of Inktense Chesnut (diluted at 50%) and re-outline the edges with Ivory. Final Highlights on the teeth with 2-3 thin coats of Ivory.


So last we paint the lenses. 2 washes of Evil Sunz Scarlett (not very diluted) to give a reddish tone to the lenses. 2 washes of Evil Sunz Scarlett (not very diluted) to give a reddish tone to the lenses. 1st highlight with a 1:2 mix of Bright Orange and Yriel Yellow. 2nd highlight with a 2:3 mix of Bright Orange and Yriel Yellow. 3rd highlight with a 2:1 mix of Yriel Yellow and Ivory. General shadows with a couple of very diluted 1:1 mix of Bright Orange and Evil Sunz Scarlett glazes.
