Hi guys here a tutorial for NMM on a stormcast miniature that can be used both for Gold nmm and Brass nmm with few final differences! It&#39;s not the only way to paint NMM and i try to use different recipes every time to experiment, so try it if you want but dont take it as a rule. Good look!

The first step as usual is the primer, in this case I used a black primer and then I covered most of it with the white one, leaving the black just on little recesses. For the white I use a Airbrush but you can also do a drybrush.

The base color is a mix of Black and primary yellow, the result should be a dark deep green.

Now the initial phase of the process is just to increasingly add yellow to the mix and start highlighting the armor.


For this step I kept adding yellow but i also added a little bit of a orangish brown (Skrag brown CITADEL) to turn the color warmer.

Keep highlighting the armor adding yellow and a little bit of Ungor Flesh (CITADEL), of course we wanna reduce the area with every step we do.  
  
If not we would just re-cover the same surfaces over and over again.

Now we want to start applying glazes of a orangish yellow to make the color more like gold (a couple of layers should be enough).  
  
Note that we could do the exact opposite: work at the beginning with orange and yellows and then use green glazes.  
  
It's up to you :)

I covered the shoulder pads and the shield with a dark desaturated purplish blue, and I applied a shadow on the armor using browns colors.

Now it's when we can separate the Gold nmm from the Brass one.  
  
If you wanna achieve Brass effect you can leave it more greenish, if you want to get more of a Gold nmm it's time to make it more yellow/orange/red.  
  
I decided to go for a Gold nmm and so I made the bright orange more noticeable and the shadows more reddish.

At this point I just made the shadows darker and the lights brighter.

On the shadows I used Red Oxide (KIMERA) + Black and for the stronger lights I used Ungor Flesh (CITADEL) and Pale Sand (VALLEJO).

The work is almost done, it just needed more definition with some dark-lining specially between the armor plates and around rivets.

Citadel Rhinox Hide

With some strong highlights on all the edges and rivets with Light Flesh (VALLEJO) the job is completed.
