Hi there, This colour scheme was based on General Grievous from Star Wars. I tried to capture this Star Wars vibes on the base, creating a blue alien planet. I use the tuft from Gamersgrass they have many cool stuff, go check it out. I used only paint form Citadel. Good luck and happy crafting.

Step 1: Base coat the model with Abaddon Black and paint the inner parts with Lead Belcher. The drybush the parts with Ironbreaker and a really dry drybrush with Runefang Steel.

Base coat the outer panel parts Rhinox Hide.

Layer the outer parts with Baneblade Brown.

Shade the inner parts with a 35/65 mix of Contrast Black Templar and Lahmian Medium. And the outer parts with Agrax Earthshade.

Paint a rough highlight with Baneblade Brown on the outer parts.




Paint a highlight with Karak Stone on the outer parts but leave the darker edges.

Paint a fine highlight with Screaming Skull on the outer parts.

Citadel Sotek Green

Paint the eyes with a 50/50 mix of Sotek Green and Gauss Blaster Green. Then paint a dot of Gauss Blaster Green in the center.

Base coat the metal on the Flayer with Ironbreaker. The inner cables with Khorne Red and the outer cables with Corvus Black.

Shade the silver and the red with Agrax Earthshade.




Highlight the silver with Ironbreaker and a fine highlight with Runefang Steel.


Paint the inner cables with Wazdakka Red. Highlight the red with Evil Sunz Scarlet and a fine highlight with Wild Rider Red.

Highlight the black with Corvus Black. Then make a fine highlight on the black and the outer cable with Eshin Grey.

Paint a fine highlight on the black with Dawnstone. Then highlight only the open side of the outer cable with Dawnstone. Paint a fine highlight with Administratum Grey on the edge of the outer cable.

Paint all the inner parts of the Flayer with Sotek Green. Is the idea that you also hit the highlights of the black. Because of the light colour you get the effect of light on the edges. Then shade the inner parts with Drakenhof Nightshade.

Highlight the inner parts of the Flayer with a 80/20 mix of Sotek Green and Gauss Blaster Green. Then a 60/40 mix and a 40/60 mix, painting towards the center and tips of the parts.




Citadel Guass Blaster Green

We keep highlighting the parts by just putting more Gauss Blaster Green in the mixture. To go 20/80, 10/90 and a small dot of pure Gauss Blaster Green at the end.




Mark down the place of the feet of the model and remove the model. Really easy with the Indomitus models.




Puth some Agrellan Earth on the base but leave the marked area\`s free of the paint.

Glue a couple of smalle stones on the base.




Base coat the base with Kantor Blue and shade it with Drakenhof Nightshade.

Drybrush the base with Kantor Blue and then with Altdorf Guard Blue. Make sure your brush is very dry and drybrush with Temple Guard Blue. The final drybursh needs to be even dryer and use Lothern Blue.

Paint the stones with The Fang. Paint a rough highlight with Russ Grey, a highlight with Fenrisian Grey and a fine highlight with Blue Horror.
