Hi there, In this full tutorial we are going to paint a Night Goblin/Grot into a Tundra world. We try to paint his cloaks into this world and also create a snowy forest tundra base. Good luck and Happy Crafting.

Narkleg Goblin

Base Coat the hole model with Mechanicus Standard Grey. Base Coat the skin with Caliban Green.

Paint almost all the skin with Warboss Green. Keep the lip, between the fingers and the eyes dark green.

Paint almost all the skin with Skarsnik Green. But try to make some shady parts at the whisks, the fingers and his arms.

This part is tricky because we going to shade just small parts of the skin with Biel-Tan Green. So only the deepest parts: finger, eyes and under the lip. Don\`t worry if u make a mistake, I made one under the lip as you can see.

Highlight the skin with 50/50 mix of Nurgling Green and Pallid Wych Flesh.

Paint the lip with a 50/50 mix of Caliban Green and Sotek Green. Then highlight the lip with Sotek Green.

Paint the eyes in three steps, Wazdakka Red, Troll Slayer Orange and Yriel Yellow.

Base Coat the bottom part of the cloak with Doombull Brown.

Citadel  Agrax Earthshade

Paint a rough highlight on the cloak of Doombull Brown. Use multiple layers with wet paint about 30/70 water/paint.


Paint a finer highlight with a 50/50 mix of Doombull Brown and Squig Orange.

Paint a Highlight with Squig Orange but make sure u dont finish al the lines. So try to paint only the higher lines.


Paint a fine Highlight with a 50/50 mix of Squig Orange and Lugganath Orange. The paint a dot of Lugganath Orange on the buttom of all the wrinkles.

Paint the top cloak with Screaming skull. Because we paint over the Mechanicus Standard Grey we need multiple layers. In this picture u only see on layer.

In this picture u see the result after 5 layers. It\`s really important you use this multiple wet layers with a 60/40 of paint and water. If you don\`t the paint will be grainy.


To shade we going to make your own shade. We water down the paint 40/60 paint and water. The first colour is Baneblade Brown. Paint the deeper parts of the cloak with this colour.

Water down Stromvermin Fur and paint in the center of your previous layer.

Water down Skavenblight Dinge and only paint the deepest parts.

Mix up screaming Skull and White Scar 50/50. Highlight the edges of the cloak.

For the shield we use the same steps but make sure the bottom gets darker and the tops stays light. The shield will look much better after the next steps don\`t worry.


Mix up Skavenblight Dinge and Abaddon Black 20/80. To finish the cloak you paint some Goblin like patterns.

Base coat the tip of the spear, the boots, the edge of the shield and the moon symbols Abaddon Black.


Paint the tip of the spear and the edge of the shield with LeadBelcher. Paint a rough highlight on the moon symbols and the boots with Eshin Grey.

Highlight the boots and the moon symbols with Danwstone.

Fine highlight the boots and the moon symbols with Administratum Grey. Shade the spear and the shield with Agrax Earthshade.

Highlight the iron parts with Ironbreaker and paint a fine highlight with Runefang Steel.

Paint the teeth and the rope with Rhinox Hide and shade them with Nuln Oil. Then paint them again with Rhinox Hide and highlight the teeth with Steel Legion Drab.

Highlight the rope with a 50/50 mix of Rhinox Hide and Steel Legion Drab. The highlight the teeth with Baneblade Brown and a dot on the teeth with a 50/50 50 of Baneblade Brown and Screaming Skull.


Base coat the wood of the spear with Dryad Bark and the rope of the spear with Baneblade Brown.

Shade the spear (not the top) with Agrax Earthshade. Highlight the wood with Dryad Bark. Paint this in lines so it looks like bark.


Now the trick here is so keep adding Steel Legion Drab to the Dryad Bark making it lighter and lighter. U keep highlighting with this mix.


When u hit the 50/50 mix we start to make a gradient. So we stop highlighting all the lines but start with 50% of the lines, then 30% etc.


We make a fine highlight with Steel Legion Drab and then a dot highlight with a 50/50 mix of Steel Legion Drab and White Scar.


Highlight the rope with Baneblade Brown and then with a 50/50 mix Baneblade Brown and White Scar.


Glue some small rocks and a couple of bigger rocks to your base.


Paint the bigger rocks with Eshin Grey and the small rocks with Steel Legion Drab.


Dry brush the smaller stones with Baneblade Brown and a fine highlight with Screaming Skull. It\`s ok to hit the bigger stones with this brushing.


Then highlight the bigger stones with Danwstone and a fine highlight of Administratum Grey.


Glue some different vegetations to the base. Make sure there are dark green, yellow, red ore orange. Not any light or green stuff.


Paint some Valhallan Blizzard random on the base. Make small part and big parts.
