We had the topic of weapons effects for the Discord challenge. I chose to paint a Multi Melta with some nice patterns and a hot barrel. It was also about time for another tutorial by me. I hit two birds with one stone. Happy Crafting.&nbsp;

Multi Melta Hot Barrel

First paint the Multi Melta Chaos Black Spray and then a solid drybrush with Leadbelcher. Paint the gun plates with Abadon Black and paint the top plates Corvus Black. Then paint the pipes with Averland Sunset.

Shade the pipes with Agrax Earthshade. Paint the top plates with Eshin Grey. Paint both a gradient and a highlight. Where the gradient goes top too bottom with the lightest color at the bottom.

We do the same step with the grey but we leave the top 25% alone. For this layer I used Dawnstone.

We take the same step with Administratum Gray but we leave the top 50% alone. We also grab the highlight only 50% of the edges so that a gradient is created here as well. At the end I did a dot highlight with Pallid Wychflesh. Paint all corners and screws in the step. For the yellow I did 2 layers of highlight with very wet Flash Gitz Yellow.

It's time for the Multi Melta barrel. This technique sometimes seems difficult but is actually very easy. It is important that you always paint the gradient of a hot barrel with wet paint so that the colors blend well. In this step you will paint the back part with Zandri Dust.

Piant de barrel with Squig Orange. So paint a little over the previous color with wet paint to make the colors run into each other.

Piant the next part of the barrel with Khorne Red.

Paint end of the barrel with Phoenician Purple and Drybrush it with Chaos Black.
