Desert Base

Base coat the Base with Mechanicus Standard Grey.


Citadel Mechanicus Standard Grey

Citadel Seraphim Sepia

Drybrush a rough highlight with Eshin Grey. Drybrush a rough highlight with Dawnstone and dry the base with Administratum Grey.

Paint the sand with Tallarn Sand. Like always mix the paint with some water. After the first layer the the sand still look really poor and this is totally fine.




Citadel Tallarn Sand

Keep painting thin layer until all the sand look nice and yellow. I did 4 thin layers.




Mix Tallarn Sand with Pallid Wych Flesh. I started with a 80/20 mix. Glaze the sand hills with this mix. Glazing is a really thin wet layer of paint, like 70% water.




Citadel Pallid Wych Flesh

At more Pallid Wych Flesh to the mix about 60/40 and glaze again. And again at more pallid Wych Flesh to the mix and only glaze the tip of the hills.




Paint the skull with Karak Stone. Shade with Agrax Earthshade. Highlight with Karak Stone and fine highlight with Screaming Skull.

Glue the model to the base and paint away the glue traces after.
