<p>Got some questions on my deathwatch bases so here a little tutorial. It's really, and I mean really, simple. The most imported think for bases is that is a contrast colour to the colours on the mini. So never put a black marines on a black base for example. The best painted mini's are those that really pop out of the base.<br><br>Good luck and happy crafting.</p>

Brown Earth

Glue some small stones and a couple of bigger ones on the base with PVA glue. I use a mix of stones so its pretty random.




Base coat the base with Balor Brown. Paint the bigger stones with Skavenblight Dinge. Then drybrush the bigger stones with Stormvermin Fur and highlight them with Karak Stone.

The stones will look a bit off we are going to fix this by shade the whole base with Agrax Earthshade.

Drybrush the base with Skrag Brown. Superdry drybrush with Zamesi Desert. Glue some moss on the base. I used the moss pad from: www.mininatur.de great stuff.

Paint the edges of the base with Rhinox Hide, multiple layers.
